With the artwork of the cave I wanted it to look a storm on the outside but calm in the inside of the artwork. So I used spray paint to paint the inside because it would of been difficult to paint the inside with ceramic paint or regular paint. With the outside I used acrylic paint and basically threw the paint onto the top and bottom of the cave and wiped some off, to make it look like a storm.
It was hard to make the outside look like a cave and get it to look like how I wanted it, how it was in my head. With trying to figure out how to paint the inside Mrs. Barnett suggested spray paint so I tried that and it looks really good so I kept it. A video I saw showed how a guy used spray paint to paint iconic places using just pots and newspaper to create the picture. With that I took the acrylic paint and tried to do the same sort of idea for the outside and I liked how it turned out.
With this artwork I made is how I would imagine a cavern and storm mixed together. It shows that there is a calm in every storm and it doesn't matter how it looks but that there will always be a calm moment.
